Ruch Chorzów Tatoo ( Tatuaże Ruchu Chorzów ) Japanese Tatoo 刺青

I just had a baby and now have fugly stretch marks. I am thinking about getting a tatoo over them to hide them. Do tatoos hurt worse over stretch marks? Also will it really hide the stretch marks?

Depending on how long ago you had the baby the stretch marks may go away I know mine did. Before you get a tattoo to cover them up give it some time to see if they go away first. But no it won’t hurt anymore than a normal tattoo. The skin may not take the ink as well but the best bet is to talk to an artist as everyone is different.

It will not hurt any worse, but you probably won’t find a tattoo artist who is willing to tattoo your stretch marks. The reason is that the ink will not stay in place and will just make your entire stretch mark the color of whatever ink they put in it. Sorry, you probably didn’t want to hear that, but I woudn’t tattoo stretch marks.

First, you need to let the stretch marks be for awhile…they will continue to change for many months. It depends on what you are expecting as far as covering them – are they lighter than your normal skin tone or just raised? A tattoo can cover light color but while it can soften up the stretch marks a little, you can generally still see the skin imperfections.

I am not saying not to do it, you just need to know what can and cannot be accomplished. They are generally no more painful that tattooing other surrounding skin.

It won’t hurt anymore than a tattoo on normal skin.

Leave the stretchmarks for a good few months though before getting tattooed and get a consultation from a good artist before getting one done as some colours go a funny colour or won’t take as good when it’s over stretchmarks.

If it’s done by an experienced tattooist then it should hide the stretchmarks.
